Brute Beats is a festival for young people that brings together different disciplines within hip-hop culture, including rap, dance, graffiti, and DJing.
For Brute Beats, I was responsible for organizing the graffiti program and contributing to the decoration of the festival grounds. Together with two other artists, I created a series of free-form mural elements that turned the walls into part of the festival’s visual setting.
I also worked with a group of young people through several workshops focused on creating decorations for the festival grounds, including signage and tables.
During the festival itself, I hosted an ongoing graffiti workshop, where participants could spray-paint different walls and skateboards, giving them the opportunity to experiment with graffiti and create their own work.
